Commission for Women
The Commission for Women is an advisory group to the chancellor. Its main purpose is to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive campus environment with special attention given to the needs of women. The CFW hosted several events this year to recognize women in the fields of STEM and the visual arts.

Social Activist Honored
Marian Wright Edelman has received more than 100 honorary degrees and many awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Robert F. Kennedy Lifetime Achievement Award. On May 8, we will award her an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
